Bengaluru-inspired pandal for TSR 6th Battalion’s Puja at Ramchandraghat, budget over ₹10 lakh

An eye-catching pandal is taking shape at the headquarters of the TSR 6th Battalion in Ramchandraghat on a budget of more than ₹10 lakh.

As every year, the TSR 6th Battalion at Ramchandraghat is preparing a spectacular Puja for Khowai district’s Puja-goers, with a special surprise this time: the battalion’s Durga Puja pandal is being modelled on Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Art of Living temple in Bengaluru.

Work on the pandal is in full swing on a budget of over ₹10 lakh. Alongside their daily duties, some 30 to 40 jawans are working together on its construction, and the striking structure is gradually taking shape through their effort.

The idol is being made by artist Sushil Rudra Pal of Lalchhara.

The preparations have already generated great enthusiasm among the battalion’s jawans. TSR 6th Battalion Commandant Rajib Sutradhar Sengupta has invited everyone to attend the Puja.

Battalion officer Supriyo Babu shared details of the decorations and Puja preparations. All in all, this year’s TSR 6th Battalion Puja at Ramchandraghat has already drawn considerable interest among the people of Khowai.
