South Tripura

South Tripura district covers the state's southern tip, with its headquarters at Belonia on the Muhuri river; much of its boundary is shared with Bangladesh. Its subdivisions are Belonia, Santirbazar and Sabroom. At Sabroom the Maitri Setu bridge over the Feni river links Tripura with Bangladesh and the route to Chittagong port, and the district also holds the Pilak archaeological site and the Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary.
