“One Drop of Humanity — Give Blood, Save Lives.” National Voluntary Blood Donation Day 2026 was observed with a message of humanity.
A special programme was organised for the occasion at Pragna Bhawan in Agartala by the Tripura State Blood Transfusion Council. State minister Tinku Roy attended, along with department officials, doctors and other distinguished guests.
The programme stressed the importance of voluntary blood donation and of raising awareness about saving lives by giving blood. Speakers said there is no artificial substitute for blood, so healthy and able people should come forward to donate voluntarily and regularly.
The programme also called on the public to help spread voluntary blood donation more widely in the service of humanity, and to come forward to tackle blood shortages.
The message was simple: one drop of blood can save a life.
